The project was well managed and everyone knew what was expected of each other. Communications were always dealt with promptly as the team project-managed the work on Schudio’s side well. Everyone is incredibly flexible and helpful, which made the whole transition process much easier. It was to work with us in a school-focused manner that made them stand out against their competitors. The old website needed a substantial change and we looked to Schudio as a partner to help with that process.We found Schudio’s approach to school website services very refreshing it was to not just provide a design and web hosting service. We’d been with our previous hosting provider for nearly four years and although the website had served us well, web design and hosting had moved on substantially in that time. They can also take their own data by sampling EarthViewer to help them answer their own further questions, analyse trends in the data and create their own hypothesises. They can toggle through different time phases and periods making observations on the data. Students can use EarthViewer to look into the changing shape of the oceans or look at land masses at specific times in history. It also works really well as a inquiry tool for students to use. Students can also look into specific biological and geological events in the earth's past. It's an excellent learning resource when used as a visual aid, with students able to clearly view the movements of continents over time and see plate tectonics in action. These sections provide a bit more information about each of the processes and the science of it all. There are in depth sections too looking a variety of different things about the earth, from the greenhouse effect to tectonic plate movements. These layers can be turned on to view these layers on the earth and in the timeline, allowing for a closer inspection of what was going on at the time the event occurred. There are different layers that can be viewed Geological Events, Biological Events, Mass Extinctions, Impact Events, Fossils, Cities, Grid and Coastlines. It's a fantastic learning resource containing loads of different functionality and data. EarthViewer is an online app that shows the history and geology of the earth.
